How to Request a Timber Quote

The fastest way to receive a useful timber quote is to send complete order information in the first message.

For this type of supplier, a short request is usually not enough. A workable quote normally starts with:

  • product type
  • specification
  • quantity
  • delivery location
  • expected arrival time

If the order is custom, a drawing or size list is also helpful.

Why this matters

Construction timber, pallet materials, and packaging timber are often priced by a combination of:

  • section size
  • length
  • volume
  • delivery route
  • processing complexity

That is why serious suppliers ask for destination and schedule early instead of quoting from a vague product name alone.

What buyers should send first

For a practical first inquiry, send:

  1. what you need
  2. the exact size or size range
  3. how much you need
  4. where it should be delivered
  5. when you want it to arrive

If invoice requirements or rush scheduling matter, mention that at the start as well.
